I do not believe so. I'm not saying they don't exist, but I haven't seen any, and I've looked at a few online university's programs. Most of the Master's degrees in education out there online are for people who are already certified to teach, and are looking for salary jumps. This is because (in my State at least) you have to do student teaching and have a certain number of observation hours to become a teacher, and online schools are often not centered in your State. Still, politicians are pushing for more alternate certification paths, and I think this will mean more online, certified education programs. That doesn't mean that any will offer certification for Music teachers though. There isn't quite the demand for music teachers as there is for classroom elementary, and secondary teachers.

Well teacher doesn't earn that much easily. They can earn about 2000$ per course. So that means you got to take some heavy load to some good money for yourself without much benefits.

I would look into the University of Phoenix. They have an Education AA program, so I would presume that they have a Bachelor's program for it as well.

I agree with lilprof. Education is not the best thing to study online. A lot of what you will be doing is observations and student teaching in order to receive your teaching license. Online schools don't have strong relationships with local districts so getting your hours will be difficult. Also, you will have trouble getting hired if many principles never heard of your school or if they have negative feelings about it (for-profit schools like u of p are not very respected in the education world).

There is no easy way to become a teacher, just like there is no easy way to be a good teacher. It takes hard work and dedication but in the end its worth it (I am a HS teacher). Go to a well known school near your home,most schools have night classes for there teacher prep programs. While your in school try to make connections with HS teachers in your area.
