Air Force Technical School
We Answered:
While in Tech School, you will be living in the dorms with everyone else.PT... if your class does PT, you'll be doing PT with them. If they're doing formations, you'll be in formation. It's that simple. You are in the class and will be treated like everyone else when it comes to expectations.

In Air Force Technical school, are there any exceptions to leaving tech school for emergancy purposes? We Answered:
Emergency Leave applies to immediate family only. So it has to be a mom, dad, legal guardian, or child. Grandma and Grandpa don't make the cut and neither do aunts, uncles, or cousins. You might be receiving "free" training but there is nothing cheap about it. Receiving similiar training in the private sector that the military provides would easily add up to over 50K, to 100K, and even 250K for some jobs. Since the military is also providing for your room and board, insurance, security clearance verifications, and food while you are in training.
They are not going to put your training on hold unless it is an immediate family member. Since you would be costing the military a small fortune.
There are exceptions, but you would have to get your first shirt and commander involved.

In air force technical school, when can you and your spouse move in together?? How hard is tech school? We Answered:
Well before the Air Force will move your spouse to your tech School.Your tech School has to be longer than 26 weeks, which most are not.
Now your wife can move there and rent an apartment on her own, but you will have to pay to move your stiuff and her.
You will be restricted to the base for the first 30 training days at Tech School.
After those 30 training days, you could ask your commander to be allowed to move in with your wife.
He doesn't not have to approve you though.
It will depend on how well you are doing academically and how well you are rated on military bearing and your PT scores.
Depending on what tech School you go to, some aren't that hard, some are very hard.
In some Tech Schools, you will be studying 3 or 4 hours every night , just to keep up.
Basicly, Tech School will start out almost like basic, but the longer you are there, the more liberties you are given.

Air force technical school information? We Answered:
You're best bet is to checkout:"Air Force Technical School Training Restrictions" at:
http://usmilitary.about.com/od/airforcej…
Down the page, you will find links to several following pages that discuss the various privileges and responsibilities for each phase while in technical school. Now, on the other hand I didn't see anything about things like an XBox 360. You can have stuff like a MP3 player (which will lead to boredom unless you've got like 4G worth of tunes on there) What I would do is try to find the phone number to the technical school you're going to attend and ask them about this. or you could write them. May not be a conventional answer but then again I'm not conventional.
We mostly drank our way through school! XD
Boy, did we ever! Then again the military, in general, has cracked down considerably since the mid '80s
From what I've read you can only drink alcoholic beverages in Phase III (after 45 days at school) and then only from 1700 Friday night through 1700 Sunday. Talk about boredom!
Good luck !!

I guessing they might send you directly to Technical School after AFBMT because
1) you wouldn't have earned very much leave by then.
2) The Air Force wants you to proceed quickly through this time period
3) People would be arriving at Tech. School all sorts of different times if they let people go home on leave a few days here, no days there, a lotta days here, etc. It's too random for the Air Force.
Next:
I'm guessing school hours run 6-8 per day, 5 days a week. This has been a standard in the military in general for a loooong time. The navy had two shifts in my day: day school and night school with no option for you to choose which shift. But.....these things depend on the Branch Of Service, the school itself, the MOS, etc. etc.
Whew! took me a while to research & write this - I think I need a beer!
One important tip: nowadays whether you're just starting out or you been in a good while, DO NOT EVER get caught drinking and driving - on base, off base, wherever - you'll wish by God you hadn't. You're liable even if you off duty and and miles away. It doesn't matter. After the civilian authorities get done with you, then the Air Force will come after you. The Armed Services strictly frown on alcohol related incidents (understatement). God help you if you drink and drive on base! Only a complete fool would do it! Look into it.

How is housing set up in Air Force Technical School? We Answered:
your given more privacy then basic training for damn sure lol. instead of 50 men sharing two hallways, it will be two men to a room and sharing a bathroom with 2 men in the next room. so 2 to a room, 4 to a bathroom. im air force and my dorm was rite next door to the SF(security forces) dorms when i was in tech school in 2004 . you get a lot more privacy but you do still have a roommate. they'll have their room inspection i believe once a week, but it wont be as hardcore as BMT. and after your in tech school for a while you start to get more privileges like wearing civilian clothes and being able to leave the base on weekends etc etc hope this help.
