Online Education Accounting

Claire Said:

which online broker has the best training or education for option trading?

We Answered:

I've been using ThinkOrSwim for over 4 years. Read the Barron's article on best brokers at the beginning of this month. TOS is great for Stocks and Options. The platform changes the way you look at trading. Paper Trading is only one small part of all that is offered.

Check out;
http://www.redoption.com/
http://www.optionplanet.com/assembled/li…
https://www.thinkorswim.com/tos/displayP…

The platform is always growing. There's always some education (free and low fee) going on. There are two charting packages available on the platform. And.... you'll love the "ShadowTrader", mostly for stock trading........ but an exceptional way to expand your skills... and it's free... every trading day.... all trading day (except lunch)..............................

Gertrude Said:

what online accounting courses should I take to qualify for CPA?

We Answered:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is the statutory title of qualified accountants in the United States who have passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination and have met additional state education and experience requirements for certification as a CPA. Individuals who have passed the Exam but have not either accomplished the required on-the-job experience or have previously met it but in the meantime have lapsed their continuing professional education are, in many states, permitted the designation "CPA Inactive" or an equivalent phrase. You can view the colleges offering them the course at http://thedegreeexperts.com/dg-accountin… . Initially view the details of the college then only select. If any suits your requirements.

Was nice helping.

Where can I get an online Master's degree in Accounting?

We Answered:

There is no Master's degree you can finish in that period of time, unless you do a mail order scam. In addition, the Master of Accountancy is generally not necessary for working in the field, and very few institutions offer it. What you are probably looking for is an MBA with an accountancy focus, since that is the more common route.

If you have no background in accounting, you are going to have a very difficult time being accepted to a reputable graduate program. Graduate programs require you to have at least some undergraduate work or relevant experience in the field. Also keep in mind that most reputable on-line MBA programs are geared towards mid-career working professionals.

I would urge you to enroll in some introductory accounting courses at your local community college and get those under your belt before you consider doing anything else. (As someone planning on going into accounting, surely you understand how important it is to find out whether something is a worthwhile investment!) Then you can start thinking about MBAs; I'm assuming you already have a Bachelor's. Some programs you may want to consider for an on-line MBA in accounting are Regis University ( http://www.mbaregis.com/degrees-fin-acct… ), UMass-Lowell ( http://www.umassonline.net/degrees/Onlin… ), Drexel University ( http://www.drexel.com/ ), University of Maryland-University Campus ( http://www.umuc.edu/programs/grad/msafm ; it's an M.S. degree), or Western Governors ( http://www.wgu.edu/business/master_busin… ). Note that most of them also offer on-line Bachelor's degrees in accounting.

You should not go anywhere *near* the University of Phoenix, Kaplan, Penn Foster, or any other for-profit enterprises like those. Read http://higheredpro.wordpress.com/2009/09… for details on finding legitimate on-line degree programs.

You can easily compare info about these schools in this site - universities.atwebpages.com

Gladys Said:

What is the cheapest but good quality education for Masters of Accounting online?

We Answered:

all online programs are cheaper than going to a university b/c you don't have to pay all of the added fees. plus you get the "in-state" rate no matter where you live.

i'd recommend a school that has a physical location as well as an online program. i live in nc so i'm more familiar with these:

all of our state schools have great reputations and are pretty cheap as far as in state tuition goes.

Jon Said:

Online Education Programs. Are they worth the paper they are printed on?

We Answered:

Make sure they are regionally accredited if you want to use the credits later to transfer to a brick and mortar school. Also if you use Penn Foster ,Ashworth or Stratford I read that some employers will not accept as legit.
I have been researching these schools and the biggest complaint I see is that they use outdated materials to train you.
On the up side Penn Fosters credits are so cheap- I checked with my local community college which has an online program and they are 4 times the cost!

I think if you want a really good online degree with no worries you should go for a school that also has the brick and mortar- but it will not be cheap( Drexel was 600 per credit) and they do not offer every course online so u still have to go for some.

If you find a school online just do some research- u can also check consumer Rip off reports dot com- some of these schools have hundreds of complaints on there!
Good LUCK to You and let us know what u decide!
