Yes i am currently taking classes to get my masters in counseling psychology and working full time. I found a school where i am able to take night and weekend and online courses. There is usually a certain order for the classes that you take but most of them can just be taken whenever. I have a BA is psychology and if you really want to get in the field i would recommend getting a masters. It will open up many doors for you. Hope this helps. Good luck!

My old therapist did graduate work in Counseling. If you want to be a therapist in high school, that could be a viable route. My guess is that whatever you do for your master's doesn't have to be directly related to school psych. Or if you want to be a school nurse, go to nursing school.

Im in SC and have some friends in TN. From what i understand youre gonna wanna get your masters in the subject you want to teach. You are going to have to get certified anyways before you can teach so being a education major will not really help. Dont switch majors because if you are going into grad school it wont matter your major generally, and you would have wasted alot of time. Personally im a Poli Sci major and eventually going to get my masters in public admin. but teaching is kinda my second option as in high school we learned about politics every year. For a better answer than any you will hear on here wait till you are getting advised for your next semester classes and just ask your advisor, or ask one of your professors about it they usually know.
