5.0 out of 5 stars A comprehensive foundation for teachers, July 6, 2007
By booklover (New York USA) - See all my reviews

I own many books on the subjects of teaching elementary reading and writing. What I like about this book is that it does not waste time on well known theories, but instead presents practical lesson planning for guiding young readers. The lessons are easily modified for grades 2-5 and the order of the lessons presented makes perfect sense - including separate and distinct approaches to teaching reading of fiction and non-fictin texts.

Teachers: what is the top curriculum/classroom support info that you look for online?

We Answered:

I am in my 4th year as a full teacher (7 years prior experience as a substitute), in Elementary (K-5) Special Education -- Resource Room and Gifted Education, public school. I also carry "overflow" students from other programs (Low Incidence, MR, Autism, mild ED, etc.).

I primarily use internet resources for:
Disability information
Disability-specific instructional methodology (especially linking to my university journal database)
Finding activity variety for repetitive re-teaching to provide as much multi-sensory and multi-intelligence styles as possible
Linking to fellow professionals and parents (I am also the mother of a child with special needs)
Curriculum and materials purchases

Looking for a Killer Starcraft 2 Online Guide - Easy 10 points!?

We Answered:

Hey Scott, Shengin is right that there isn't one precise method to master multiplayer mode.. this has to do with everyone choosing their own race and perfered build orders. But to answer your question about where you can learn the basics and get the edge on players gradually online..

The Shokz guide is the best starcraft 2 guide that i've personally used to understand all three races and much much more!

The shokz guide provides you with a complete campaign walkthrough to clearing the story mode and unlocking the secret mission...

it gives an indepth look into the Terran, Protoss, and Zerg class structures and how to master each one... Although its recommended that you find a class that you're comfortable with and stick with it..

It has free member tournaments for registered starcraft 2 players, shows you the quickest and easiest way to unlock the achievements... and all of this is brought to you in video format so you can watch how's its done by the experts themselves...

This can seriously a great guide, and is highly recommended for beginners - and I guarantee that the information there will blow your mind, cause I haven't even mentioned the full details!

You definitely don't want to miss out on this opportunity - you can find this guide here @ http://ultimatestarcraft2guide.com

Hope this helps you out big time bro!

is anyone interested in online poker coaching?

We Answered:

You need to show some prof of results, so people can be interest in it. Now, I'm not here to put you down, but I check your stats on Sharkscope and official poker ranking....You haven't play many tournament at all and for the Sitandgo's your ROI and profit are really in the negative, you also only played 69 of them and you play the $2, $5 and $6.....That's really bad for a coach. I don't think you're going to find a lot of student with those stats. I'm sure you love poker and know a lot, but to teach poker it's an all different ball game. Personally I make my living with poker and I had a very simple site, I decide to closed it because I work on somebody else poker site (a french site, yes I'm a French living in the US). I also record several videos for this site, and the owner of the site sale them.. All of them was in S&G. And to post those video I had to show prof of my results.

I will suggest you to keep playing and getting better and keep your coaching idea, has a projet for later..Maybe. Or you can create a site where you help and answer other players, but you do it...For free.

Good luck.

UPDATE: I'm not here to offend you, or to debate this with you, I just read the stats. If you want to be a coach, go for it. Just don't post that on Yahoo answer, I don't think that will give you good credit. I suggest you to create a site, a coaching site. If you feel you have the profil, you can also join a site (like I did) and if they "hired you", you can start coaching and post teaching video . I can give you a few references.
